Jessica Meleg, Lead Assistant
Jessica joined Lake City Animal Hospital in 2011 before moving over to Acworth Animal Hospital. She is currently enrolled in Penn Foster. Her pet loves include four dogs, Hank, Bobo, Chase, and Molly.
Whitney was born and raised in Cartersville, Ga. She started working at Bartow Animal Hospital in the summer of 2006. She is currently enrolled at Penn Foster to become a CVT. Whitney was the kennel manager for four years before becoming a veterinary assistant. Whitney is married to her best friend, Brett, and together they have 5 dogs and 4 cats.
Hope is currently enrolled in Penn Foster. She joined Lake City Animal Hospital in 2010. She is married and the loving owner of dachshunds Baxter and Clover, and rescue dog Colby Bear.
Mike joined Lake City Animal Hospital in 2008. He has been instrumental in rescuing and rehabilitating many wild animals, including squirrels, ducks and hawks. Mike has four dogs – two pitbulls, a chocolate lab, and a red tick coonhound.
Summer is currently enrolled at Penn Foster hoping to become a certified technician, and she is also enrolled at Kennesaw State University. She attended Camp Bow Wow 2013-2015. She started in our kennel in 2015, and is now a veterinary assistant. She is currently training to become a certified veterinary technician. She has three dogs, five cats, and one horse.
Before working at Acworth Animal Hospital, Chelsea also gained experience with animals at Averill Animal Hospital. She has 4 dogs named Cokie, Heckler, Georgia and Copper.
Jonah has been with Acworth for almost 3 years. His goal, since starting at Acworth, is to become a veterinary assistant. He hopes to begin college and work towards his goal in the near future. Jonah has a Pitbull named Maverick that he adopted a year ago.
Christina is enrolled in Penn Foster. She joined Lake City Animal Hospital in January 2013. Christina has three dogs – with a special affection for pitbulls - and one cat.
Kat is the proud owner of 2 dogs, Otis and Bentley and has one cat, Riggs. She has been a veterinary assistant for over 10 years and moved to Acworth a year ago.
Nicole has been a veterinary assistant for 5 years. She is the proud owner of 4 dogs (Gracie, Stella, Minnie, and Burg), 2 horses (Poncho and Douglas), and 8 cats (Gretchen, Sophia, Midnight, Static, Sunshine, Midnight, Bagheera, and Gizmo).
She works with many rescues with transport, networking, and previously fostered animals. Nicole graduated from Woodland High School in 2012 and is currently enrolled at Georgia Highlands College for general studies.
